The smoke performance index (SPI) was 190.5 to 420.6 s2/m2. Among the woods, spruce had the highest smoke safety.
The smoke growth index (SGI) was 0.000064 to 0.000114 m2/s2. Among the woods, spruce had the highest smoke safety.
The smoke intensity (SI) was 13.93 to 27.70 MW/kg. Among the woods, spruce had the highest smoke safety.
According to the three equations, smoke safety was increased in order of Red pine < Japanese cedar < Lauan < Spruce.
CO production rate was 0.00128 to 0.00310 g/s, and CO safety was increased in order of Lauan < Red pine < Japanese cedar < Spruce.
